Research Concierge @ the Library:  A joint service provided by THRIV, SOM Clinical Trials Office, and the Health Sciences Library

The Translational Health Research Institute of Virginia (THRIV) serves as the “front door” for researchers and study teams at the University of Virginia to provide education and services to facilitate clinical and translational research, including data modeling, basic science, animal, clinical, and outcomes research. The SOM Clinical Trials Office (CTO) provides support services for the planning, implementation and management of clinical research studies. Together THRIV and the CTO are offering Research Concierge Services at the Health Sciences Library.

Research Concierge @ the Library consultations are on a drop-in basis.
Hours: Wednesdays and Fridays 9 am – 12 pm starting September 19th
Location: Outside room 1212 on the lower level of the Health Sciences Library
Closed during UVA Academic Division holidays.

Research Concierge Services are available to connect UVa investigators with clinical translational research services across Grounds.  Representatives can also help research teams understand and utilize the UVA systems that support research operations. In addition to being a navigational resource, this service can help researchers conduct feasibility assessments, identify barriers to optimal study execution, and formulate solutions to those barriers. Our goal is to help you bring your research ideas to fruition.  Research Concierge Services consults are available free of charge to all students, staff, and researchers across the University of Virginia.

You can also receive an in-person Research Services consultation by coming to the library during the Research Concierge @ the Library hours listed on this page. Requests beyond the scope of this service will be referred to other University resources when appropriate.
